I was invited by friends, Randy and Sue, to join them along with Sue's nephew, Dave, for a weekend on Lake Superior. They arranged to charter a 36 ft. sailboat out of Bayfield, Wisconsin for which we acted as captain, crew & cook during our three days on the lake. It was a little late in the season, and although sunny during the day, was quite chilly at night. I also had an opportunity to visit with Marba & Rich, friends from our old days in California. They have been living in the Bayfield, Wisconsin area the last nine years and were therefore a valuable aid during our short time on the lake. I also had the pleasure of dinner with Steve, my former sailing instructor, who was in Bayfield at the same time.
